Your Bonnaroo 2017 Homework

SAN HOLO:

  • If you like: Marshmello or Illenium
  • When: Saturday @ 6:15 pm
  • Where: The Other

San Holo first came on our radar when he remixed Porter Robinson’s “Natural Light” and couple years ago.  Since then he’s been making some of the prettiest dance tracks and inexplicably saying “swirl” all the time… and we love it.

HIPPO CAMPUS:

  • If you like: Cage the Elephant or Cold War Kids
  • When: Thursday @ 5:45 pm
  • Where: This Tent

Hippo Campus is a Midwest band with a strong California feel, giving all their music a little bit of a beachy sound.  They write some sunny indie-rock that’s perfect for a June afternoon in Tennessee.

TEN FE:

  • If you like: Glass Animals or Future Islands
  • When: Thursday @ 10:15 pm
  • Where: Miller Lite Stage

Ten Fe comes to Bonnaroo all the way from London.  They’re indie rock is steady and spacious like The National and the melodies are catchy and creative like War On Drugs.  This should be a good set to chill in the grass to.

UNLIKE PLUTO:

  • If you like: Major Lazer or Big Gigantic
  • When: Saturday @ 5:00 pm
  • Where: The Other

Unlike Pluto is the DJ for kids who like Twenty-One pilots… which is a weird thing to come out of Atlanta.  We’ve seen him play sets that were heavy bass and sets that were sing alongs, can’t wait to see what he picks on the farm.

TWIDDLE:

  • If you like: Umphry’s McGee
  • When: Thursday @ 6:30 pm
  • Where: That Tent

Twiddle will not play anything that you’ll just be twiddling your thumbs to.  This band delivers sounds that blend almost every genre you can think of.  They’ll have the crowd dancing barefoot from start to finish with improv jam sessions almost guaranteed.
